GILKES ENERGY EXPANDS AND OPENS NEW GLASGOW OFFICE
13th June 2013
We are delighted to announce the opening of a new office in Glasgow.
As part of our next stage of growth we have opened the new office and recruited three new senior members of staff.
Gavin McGill, David Tomb and Fraser Allison have joined the team to manage the delivery of our growing pipeline of hydro projects. Formerly with Mott MacDonald, the civil engineering consultancy, Gavin, David and Fraser will focus on the design and project management of Gilkes Energy projects.
Commenting on his new role, David Tomb said "Gavin, Fraser and I are very pleased to have joined the Gilkes Energy team. We all felt that the Gilkes business model of focussing on joint ventures with landowners is an excellent idea, and a small multi-skilled team focussing on developing our own projects only, rather than 3rd party consultancy work, is the best way of delivering projects. The number of Gilkes Energy projects in development is growing ever larger so we are going to be busy, but are looking forward to getting stuck in!"
Commenting on the news, Carl Crompton, Director of Gilkes Energy said "We are very pleased to announce the expansion of Gilkes Energy, and welcome Gavin, David and Fraser to the team. The three of them have an excellent reputation within the UK hydro industry and bring significant skills and experience. The location of the office in Glasgow is perfect to serve our projects, which are primarily based in Scotland and the addition of design and project management skills 'in-house' means that we will be able to deliver multiple projects in parallel."
