Gilkes Apprentice wins Award

One of Gilkes young rising stars, Luke King, won Engineering Apprentice of the year (2015/2016) at this week's Apprenticeships Awards evening at Kendal College.
Luke is one four 1st Year apprentices at Gilkes this year.
Rebecca Sandham, Manufacturing Manager at Gilkes said; "I would like to congratulate Luke on his award, it was a pleasure to attend his awards evening. Gilkes is very proud"
Gilkes prides its self on inspiring learners through carefully selected training providers delivering challenging but enjoyable academic and practical modules. Gilkes offer professional opportunities through apprenticeships and university sponsorships. Gilkes engineering apprenticeship is a four year course. Apprentices are mentored in machining and assembly on the shop floor before being transferred into the engineering offices.
